Gone In A Flash Of Light – My Abduction Story
I’ll never forget that fateful night.
We were out for a drive, the starts were bright;
When all of a sudden our Chevy died,
But it kept rolling so we pulled to the side.
Steve got out and opened the hood.
He found nothing wrong. All was good;
So he buttoned it up and stood up straight.
It now was clear we would be out late.
He stood there wondering what to do,
Then was enveloped in a light that was whitish blue.
It was brighter than the sun that comes up at dawn.
The light disappeared and Steve was gone!
All that was happening was so surreal,
But I pulled myself together and slid behind the wheel.
The car started up the first time I tried.
You’d never know it even had died.
I drove myself home and went right to bed,
But scary images kept filling my head.
Haunting shadows and voices too;
I tossed and turned the whole night through.
The morning came and I didn’t feel well,
But the story of Steve I had to tell.
Should I call the police or the CIA?
Would they believe that a light took Steve away?
I thought they wouldn’t. Then I wondered why
I hadn’t thought of it sooner; a private eye!
He might not believe either, but what is great
Either way he would investigate!
So I grabbed a phone book and flipped to the P’s
And found an investigator with relative ease.
On the phone I asked if we could meet soon.
He said he had an opening that afternoon.
The meeting went well. He took the case.
He said he would start by checking out our place.
He came home with me and started looking around,
And asking me about the things he found.
Like the tarot cards and Ouija board
And the books on the occult that we had stored.
I told him those things were not an obsession;
Just a few things we had in our possession.
He also saw our books on UFO’s.
I’ll have to admit we had quite a few of those.
The private eye turned to me and said with a sigh,
“You know, Ma’am, I’m not sure I’m your guy.
This is out of my league. At the very least,
I think it would be better if you called a Priest.”
I offered him his fee but he said, “That’s okay.”
So we said our goodbyes and he was on his way.
Since the Catholic church is not my style,
I sat and thought about it for awhile.
I remembered a church I attended as a girl,
And decided I might as well give them a whirl.
The preacher was in. I got him on the phone.
He said he would be happy to come to my home.
He came to the door, a distinguished minister,
He took one look around and said, “This is downright sinister.”
He explained the UFO, occult connection
As he gestured to our huge occult book collection.
“Aliens are dangerous and if the truth were told,
You don’t understand the dark power they hold.”
“They are not of this world” and he was quick to mention.
“ Aliens aren’t from other planets but from another dimension.”
He continued to explain quoting reliable sources
That most close encounters are demonic forces.
We bowed our heads and proceeded to pray,
And Steve showed up the very next day.
Some farmers found him in a field of corn.
His shoes were missing and his clothes were torn.
He was noticeably shaken and his hair was white.
It was very apparent he’d had quite a fright.
The farmers brought him home and except for his hair
He didn’t seem to me worse for the wear.
We sat down on the couch and he began to expound
On all that had happened until he was found.
It was a hair raising story of that there’s no doubt.
I was happy to listen while he let it all out.
When Steve finished I explained about my meeting with the pastor
And how he had told me we were heading for disaster.
I told him of the connection between the occult and his abduction,
And that if we didn’t change our ways it would mean our destruction.
All the occult stuff got thrown in the fire pit,
And we burned it all up, every bit.
All that stuff we were into was the source of our woes.
We will do no more reading about UFO’s!
